Luis de Rosas

Luis de Rosas (died in January 25, 1642) was a soldier who served as the ninth Governor of New Mexico, Keeping his mandate between 1637 and 1641, when he was imprisoned and assassinated. During his administration, De Rosas had confrontations with the Franciscans (mainly because the De Rosas's dealing with the Native Americans, whom forced to work hard, as slaves), who promoted a revolt of the citizens of New Mexico against him. De Rosas was imprisoned (and killed in the prison by several soldier) after an investigation about his mandate.
== Early years ==
